Caramel Apple Kiss Cupcakes

I couldn't resist incorporating caramel apple kisses into a cupcake creation. I was so happy that I did. The chocolate and caramel apple melted in my mouth in each bite. No need for frosting with these. The kisses make them rich enough. I decided to drip some chocolate dessert sauce on top to add a little extra decoration. A little extra chocolate never hurts!

Caramel Apple Kiss Cupcakes
makes 12 cupcakes
Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
3 eggs
1 cup applesauce
1 tsp cinnamon
12 caramel apple kisses
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place paper liners in cupcake pan.
Mix eggs and brown sugar in a large bowl.
Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, applesauce, and cinnamon and mix until well blended.
Fill liners 2/3 full with batter.
Cook for 25 miuntes.
Half way through cooking time, remove from oven and push kisses into top of batter upside down.
Drizzle melted chocolate or chocolate dessert sauce on top.

  1. Oh GOODNESS! Those sound perfect! And the best part is that I know where to find carmel kisses. :) I'm going to make a half recipe...if I didn't all 12 I wouldn't take leftovers to work.
