Awards and a Giveaway!

I have recently been given several awards by some amazing bloggers! Each one brought a smile to my face, and I was so honored to receive them! I am going to break the rules and share these awards with all my readers. Thank you so much for reading and leaving comments. Even though I don't always respond to comments, I read them all and appreciate each and every one! I would like to take a chance to learn more about all my readers. Leave me a comment telling me the one food that you couldn't live without. As an added bonus, if you leave a comment you will be entered in a random drawing to receive a foodie related surprise in your mailbox. Who doesn't love a surprise? Deadline for comments is Monday, February 2, at midnight.

Here is my initial thought about what food I could not live without: cheese. If you asked my husband he would say: Salt & vinegar chips. To me, when I really want to feel some food joy, I love a fresh loaf and bread and some aged cheddar. I think the chips stick in my hubby's mind because we do our best to eat healthy but when I crave the chips, move out of the way.

You totally deserve all those awards my dear!

I could not live without baked fries (preferably sweet, but a regular will do just fine) - and anything MINT chocolate flavored!

Loving your blog! Four weeks ago I would have said I can't live without french fries. My #1 guilty pleasure. But ultimately, I need crawfish. After moving way north of New Orleans, I don't have them near enough.

Congrats on your awards!! Garlic, no chocolate...

ONE FOOD! That's very difficult to choose, but I would say a Key Lime Pie Larabar! Yum.

Thanks for the awesome blog and chance to win a prize!

I could never imagine my life without bread. No way, no how! The low-carb life(although, I tried it!) was not for me :)

Our current food we can't live with out is: Chicken Spinach, pumpkin and coconut oil. All pureed to a fine blend. This may seem odd, but this seems to be William's current favorite. Coconut oil is because it MCT fat that's easy to digest and absorb so he gains some good weight, and the pumpkin makes the chicken and spinach combination palatable for him right now. ;)

I would love to say something virtuous, like broccoli (which I love, yes, but probably could live without), but I absolutely canNOT live without chocolate or bread. Can't do it. Especially when they're beautifully combined in, say, a pain au chocolat or a chocolate chip brioche? Pure heaven.

Congrats on the awards!

Congrats Megan! The one food I couldn't live without would either be oatmeal or Pink Lady Apples. I have both of those everyday! Oh, I took your advice and got my own blog started as well! I figured I should make good use of this time while I'm out with my knee.

Oatmeal w/craisins, raisins, and milk in the morning...it's nutritious, inexpensive and easy. Something that hasn't left me since my tight budget days in college!

the go raw bars are definitely good, but they're an acquired taste. my parents think they taste "too healthy." the banana and the flax bar are my favorites. the pumpkin is good too, but it's a little more savory. hope you try some!

Thanks for posting on my blog, the vegan pb oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are pretty addicting! The one food I absolutely could not live without would be peanut butter, specifically all natural crunch peanut butter! It goes well with almost anything and is great in baked goods as well. Congrats on the awards:)

The one food I couldn't live without is nut butters. When I was little I lived off pb and j sandwiches, now I like almost all nut butters and I put them on fruit, oatmeal, bread, etc.
