I felt like playing in the kitchen this morning since I don't have to go to work until later. I wanted to make something easy, but fun and tasty! I found this recipe for Peanut Butter Energy balls at RecipeZaar. I must say they are quite tasty! Watch out though!! They are quite "poppable"! It doesn't take long for several of them to pop into your mouth and disappear! I only made half the recipe because I was afraid of the "popability" factor! I did not have flax seed or wheat germ, so I did not roll these balls in a topping. I actually am intrigued with the idea of rolling them in coconut!Peanut Butter Energy Balls

If you use natural peanut butter the mixture could be more dry. If this is the case add a little milk; about 1/2 tablespoon at a time.

I have been debating on trying these bars for the past 10 or so trips to Whole Foods. I finally decided it was time to give these Peanut Butter delights a chance. I am so glad I did! I couldn't decide which one to try first. So, when in doubt, have half of each. My tastebuds declared them both winners. However, first place goes to Peanut Butter Pretzel flavor. It was a crunchy and chewy blend of sweet and salty. The ingredients include peanut butter filled pretzels, peanut butter chips, and peanuts. I will be having peanut butter dreams as a result of tasting this bar. The Peanut Butter and Jelly bar brought back childhood memories. At first, the jelly taste stood out more than the peanut butter flavor, but as I took more bites all the flavors began to blend perfectly. I felt like I needed a cold glass of milk to complete this snack. Both bars are 70% organic and have no trans fats, hydrogented oils, or HFCS.
