Jocalat Fun

The people over at LaraBar are awesome. They sent me a 24 count variety pack of JamKrakas and this wonderful shirt! I tried two new JamFrakas bars, which I will review soon! Details should be available this coming week for all of you who commented on the JamFrakas Giveaway and won samples. Before I got my surprise package in the mail, I bought some new Jocalat bars at Whole Foods: Chocolate Hazelnut and Chocolate Cherry. The bars are posing with the cute napkins RhodeyGirl sent me in my Prize Basket! The Chocolate Hazelnut is now my favorite Jocalat bar. It tastes more like a brownie than the other flavors! The Chocolate Cherry was pretty good too, but I am not a big fan of the fruit/chocolate blend. If you are a Chocolate Cherry fan, you will love it. So my burning question of the day is: When will they have a Chocolate Peanut Butter Jocalat bar?

"What In The World Is A Jamfrakas?" Giveaway

I discovered the strawberry JamFrakas last week and loved it. I was surprised yesterday to find two more flavors: Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter. I have searched the web, but I found little information on these yummy and healthy snacks. I have found some sites that report that there are two other flavors that I have not found yet: Apple and Chocolate Banana. The JamFrakas Bars are very similar to LaraBars, but they are smaller, lower in calories, and have a little more crisp to them. I have loved the 3 flavors I have tried, but the Peanut Butter was the best. Since I haven't seen these around the foodie blog world, I am assuming that they are not easy to find. I know how frustrated I was when I saw the PB LaraBars all over the blogs, but I could not find them....So, I wanted to give you all a chance to get your hands on these. To win a sample of the 3 flavors I have tried, leave me a comment with your dream flavor for a snack/energy bar. Comments will be accepted until midnight next Sunday, October 12. Two winners will be chosen
to receive a 3 pack sampler. I will start the giveaway fun with my dream flavor: French Toast!

A Concert and Some New LaraBars

Last night I had a blast at the Kenny Loggins concert...but first the pre-show! I was on my way to meet my friend, and I decided to stop for some snacks because I knew we wouldn't have a chance to get dinner. When I walked over to the "bar wall," I was shocked to finally find the famous Peanut Butter LaraBar that everyone has been raving about lately! I also found a LaraBar that I have never heard of before. It was a kid's bar called Jamfrakas. I ate the PB LaraBar waiting for the concert to begin. It was just as delicious as everyone has reported...pure PB heaven. On the way home, I was hungry, probably due to all the dancing I did at the concert. I tried the strawberry Jamfrakas, and I liked it. It was similar to the typical LaraBar, but it had more crispiness throughout due to the rice crisps. This will definitely be my snack of choice when I don't want the higher calorie originals...this one is only 110 calories.

Now, the concert report...My friends and I were lucky enough to get wristbands, which gained us access to front row center spots! It was amazing being that close! Of course we jammed out to Footloose, Danger Zone, Your Momma Don't Dance and Your Daddy Don't Rock and Roll, and I'm Alright, but my absolute favorite of all time is House at Pooh Corner.
