It's that time again. The State Fair of Texas is coming along with all the fried foods. I will definitely not be eating them, but I am intrigued by the creativity. Here are some of this year's offerings. Would you try any of these:
Chicken Fried Bacon
Fried Banana Split
Fried Grilled Cheese
Fried Jelly Bellys
Deep Fried S'mores
Fire and Ice (Fried Pineapple Creation)
Fried Chocolate Truffles

I dont think i can get my self to eat any of those fried things... Fried food does not tempt me!
I also don't know if I could get myself to try any of those! I don't even want to think about how unhealthy they are!!
Hell no, haha ;0)
Haha - isn't the State Fair of Texas the biggest in the country? Love it :o) I just have to laugh at all the fried foods...I'm from Minnesota, and I think we might be #2 on the list of biggest state fairs...so I've definitely had enough fair experience to last a lifetime.
Gotta admit...I do love those mini donuts! And funnel cake. And pickles on a stick. Last year I went to the state fair in AZ for a news story I was covering during my internship and had a small bite of fried rattlesnake! I know...I'm crazy.
The fried grilled cheese sounds intriguing and the truffles. I wonder what they would be like fried? Besides very unhealthy!
I don't really enjoy fried food (except for good onion rings), so I'm not terribly tempted. I'd probably give the grilled cheese a whirl - because I love gc so dearly.
I've had fried ice cream many times at a local Asian restaurant - it can be very good.
Went yesterday and tried both the chicken fried bacon (yummy, but I liked it with the bbq and honey mustard dipping sauces) and the fire and ice sundae (interesting). I split both of these things so we could all have just a taste. It's fun just to try them. I wonder who comes up with this stuff...
Pretty effective piece of writing, thanks for the post.
