My Kitchen Helper Had Surgery and an Award

No cooking tonight! I just can't do it without my kitchen helper! We took Shelby to the vet yesterday because he didn't seem to be feeling well, and we ended up having to take him to the animal hospital immediately for surgery because he had over 30 kidney stones. We were able to pick him up today, and I am trying to keep him comfortable. I hate seeing him in so much pain. You get to enjoy his cute picture tonight instead of food!

I was given this award by the authors of two wonderful blogs: Thinspired and Pumpkin and Spice. I highly suggest checking them both out as well as the blogs that I am awarding.

Rules:
1. Post the award on your blog
2. Link those who gave it to you
3. Link the original posts
4. Pass it on to five deserving people
5. Post these rules for your recipients

I am passing this award to the following blogs:

Megan, thank you for the award! I will pass it on in a few days :)

Do you even have any clue that my REAL name is the same as your doggies? lol. I think I won't tell Grumpy. When I started to read your post and I saw Shelby - it threw me for a loop! he he.

Wow that's a lot of stones! I hope the little guy is doing alright. To think that having only one can be painful.

So that's why you are a fantastic baker... you have help :)

Hope Shelby does well, kidney stones are no fun for humans or critters. I've had good luck with my babies, er cats health, fortunately. Of course, I hedge my bets with some judicious bribes to my brother who works for the MSPCA. :)
