Quinoa Flakes a Breakfast Alternative

I am very excited about the new product I tried today. I have been wanting to try Quinoa for a long time because it is gluten-free. When I looked this product up on the internet, I discovered that Quinoa has many other health benefits including:

It is low glycemic (35)

It is alkaline in nature

It is high in iron

It is a balanced amino acid source

I found these Quinoa flakes at Whole Foods, and was anxious to try an oatmeal alternative. I mixed 1/3 cup dry flakes with 2 T sweet potato puree, 1 T vanilla whey protein, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, sweetener, and 1 cup water. The result was a bowl of smooth hot cereal that tasted like sweet potato pie. I will definitely be eating more Quinoa flakes in the future.
